Many predict the £2 for a litre of petrol and diesel era is just round the corner but even at the current levels it looks as though many traditional car drivers are looking for cheaper as well as greener alternatives and rail seems to be coming out on top.
All across the nation we are seeing headlines stating how rail passenger figures are steadily rising.
Many believe the Government is losing control of the fuel crisis and we are heading down at a rapid rate that will soon deliver a crisis. As rail passenger figures continue to increase so will the demand on services and with Network Rail announcing this week their projected plans for up to five new high speed rail lines, they might be required faster than the predicted delivery date of about 2025.
